Degree Programs
In NYFA’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre program, aspiring performers study the most prominent facets of the performing arts industry, stage and screen. Throughout the program, students receive professional training and practical experience to pursue ambitious creative goals in the arts. Students complete a range of challenging projects, audition, and performance opportunities that help them focus on finding the actor within, expanding their vocal and physical range, and learning how to apply the emotional, physical, and technical work necessary for quality stage and on-camera acting.
Designed for students who want to explore film, media, and entertainment while maintaining a focus in Musical Theatre, NYFA also offers a comprehensive Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Entertainment Media. During this hands-on program, students begin with courses that introduce them to the art of narrative and cinematic storytelling, as well as liberal arts classes designed to support their development as a visual artist. Students may then choose the Musical Theatre concentration, where they advance their audition and performance skills, learning new and fundamental techniques. The program concludes with a final graduation showcase performed for family and friends. As both degree programs are located at NYFA New York, students learn and grow as performers in the central hub for launching musical theatre careers – New York City.
