Stephen J. Rivele is an Academy Award-nominated screenwriter and has scripted such critically acclaimed films as Michael Mann’s Ali, starring Will Smith as boxing legend Muhammad Ali, Copying Beethoven, and Pawn Sacrifice, starring Tobey Maguire as Bobby Fischer.
Rivele also wrote Oliver Stone’s presidential biopic Nixon, starring Anthony Hopkins in the lead role. in 1996, Rivele shared a nomination for Best Screenplay for the film with Christopher Wilkinson and Oliver Stone.
Rivele also wrote Bradley Cooper’s star-studded remake of A Star Is Born, as well as an early draft for the Freddy Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Mr. Robot’s Rami Malek.
