Robert FyvolentProducer

Robert Fyvolent is an Academy Award-nominated producer with an entertainment industry background that includes entertainment law and writing and producing. Robert spent the first part of his career as counsel for The Walt Disney Company and Sony Pictures Entertainment. He later headed legal and business affairs for Newmarket Films where he helped build a library of over 250 films, including independent films like Memento, Donnie Darko, The Passion of The Christ, Whale Rider, Monster, The Prestige and Boondock Saints.

In his solo legal practice, his work has involved all aspects of film and television production, acquisition, financing and distribution as well as the representation of writers, producers and other talent. As production counsel, he advised clients on films like Instructions Not Included, Trumbo, Cake, and HBO’s Cries from Syria.

Fyvolent is a member of the Writer’s Guild of America and has been engaged to write on projects for Dreamworks and Millennium Pictures. He was credited as a writer on the Sony Pictures theatrical thriller Untraceable starring Diane Lane and directed by Greg Hoblit.

Fyvolent produced the documentary Summer Of Soul, winner of the 2021 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award which is currently nominated for an Academy Award. He served as an Executive Producer on Francesco directed by Evgeny Afineevsky which was released by The Discovery Channel in 2021.

Current producing work includes the music documentary Really Good Rejects directed by Alice Gu which will have its world premiere at SXSW in March, 2022.
