The late Ken Howard spoke with students at New York Film Academy in November 2011. He talked about his lengthy career as an actor, beginning with his early days in theatre. When asked about how to maintain a busy career, he urged students to live a creative life: working in theatre, teaching, and working on independent films. As SAG president at the time, he discussed the imminent SAG/AFTRA merger, giving the audience of acting students priceless information about what to expect, and how to negotiate the process of joining the union.
