Jerry LondonEXECUTIVE

Television executive Jerry London has produced or directed some of the most famous titles in classic TV, including The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Even his first Hollywood gig was part of a legend when he apprenticed as an editor for I Love Lucy.

By directing comedy as straightforward as he would a drama, London made a name for himself and quickly became one of TV’s power players. Eventually, he directed the epic miniseries Shogun, as well as Chiefs, starring Charlton Heston.

In October 2017, At a Q&A session moderated by Associate Chair of Filmmaking David Newman at our Los Angeles campus, London remained humble and told students that directing was only twenty percent of an actor’s performance.
