Glen Wilson is a photographer and multi-disciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. His works, addressing such themes as identity, community, diaspora and gentrification have been exhibited at LA MOCA, recently at the virtual Art Basel, Miami with the gallery Various Small Fires, as well as in the group shows “LA Blacksmith” at the California African-American Museum, “Dreamin’ of A…” at the Charlie James Gallery, and “Serpentine Fire!” at LA Quotidian. In addition to his art practice, Wilson works commercially as a still photographer on feature films.

He is a member of the Society of Motion Picture Still Photographers. Notable recent projects include Harriet, Roman J. Israel, Esquire, The Devil All The Time, and the upcoming Judas and The Black Messiah. Wilson co-directed Revolution By Design: Spike Lee x Emory Douglas, a short-form documentary of an informal conversation between revolutionary artist Emory Douglas and director Spike Lee, within the past and present context of the struggle to protect black lives from systemic brutality. Other documentary shorts include, Betye Saar / Present Tense and RE: Henry Taylor, presenting kinetic narrative fragments reflecting time spent with each artist at work in their studios. The films offer privileged, unvarnished lyrical glimpses and perspectives on life and art making from each artists’ unique perspective.
