Garry Marshall’s long list of accomplishments includes writing credits on The Tonight Show with Jack Paar and The Dick Van Dyke Show. He helped adapt The Odd Couple for television, and created Happy Days, Mork & Mindy, and Laverne and Shirley (starring his sister, Penny Marshall). He later focused on directing, finding success in the blockbuster films Beaches (produced by fellow NYFA guest speaker, Bonnie Bruckheimer) Pretty Woman, and The Princess Diaries.
