Born in Dallas, Texas, Erica Tazel is a theatre and television actress who holds a BA from Spelman College and an MFA from NYU’s acting program. In Spring of 2014, the New York Film Academy One-Year Acting students in New York were joined by actress, Erica Tazel. Erica is best known for her role of Deputy U.S. Marshal Rachel Brooks on the hit FX television show, Justified. Moderating the event was Acting Chair, Glynis Rigsby. Speaking to students, Erica had this to say about auditions, “I don’t even call them auditions anymore. I call them opportunities.” Since her visit to NYFA, Tazel has appeared on a number of television shows including The Night Shift, The Good Fight, The Orville, and Roots.
