Eric RobertsACTOR
New York Film Academy presented legendary screen actor Eric Roberts with an honorary degree in November 2011, when he visited New York Film Academy at Los Angeles for a screening of his film, “Star 80.” The Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated actor has over 200 acting credits to his name, and is best known for his roles in The Pope of Greenwich Village, Runaway Train, The Dark Knight, and “The Expendables.” When asked how he has maintained such a long and successful career, he replied, “I like what I do. I get up every day for work, loving it…. It’s a glorious art. And I’m not really good at much else.” Roberts also shared advice about preparing for roles, dealing with fame, and choosing roles. The down-to-earth actor was extremely generous with his time, and happily posed for pictures and signed autographs for students.
