David DinersteinPRODUCER
David Dinerstein is an Academy Award-nominated producer and accomplished media executive. He has been involved in the production or distribution of over 200 movies including Pulp Fiction, American Hustle, Her, The Illusionist, The Full Monty, and Hustle & Flow.
He produced the documentary Summer Of Soul, winner of the 2021 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award which is now nominated for an Academy Award 2022.
He helped launch the filmmaking careers of numerous iconic directors including Quentin Tarantino, Steven Soderberg, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, Paul Greengrass, Justin Lin, Sofia Coppola, Baz Luhrman, Jane Campion and Kevin Smith.
Dinerstein co-founded Paramount Vantage, where he supervised all aspects of the business and one the original architects of Fox Searchlight. He served as the Executive Producer of the Academy Award nominated, Netflix documentary Winter On Fire, for which he was also nominated for an Emmy Award. He also served as the Executive Producer on the HBO documentary Cries From Syria.
He produced the music documentary Really Good Rejects directed by Alice Gu which will have its world premiere at SXSW in March, 2022. He is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, and the Television Academy.
