Sokolow met with students at New York Film Academy’s Los Angeles campus in September 2011 spoke in depth about his career and his process in writing Toy Story, telling students how it was originally meant to be much more adult. In the end, Sokolow said he was happy with how the film turned out. “It’s really satisfying to know that we did something that affected the culture. It’s not about the money, because it gave me a career.”
