Originally from Chile, Nicolas Varela earned his AFA in Filmmaking degree at NYFA Los Angeles, where he was selected for multiple screenings for his first short film, Aphrodite. Varela has since continued to write, direct, and act in his own short films, and continues to focus on topics not always depicted on film.
