Michael Costner is a producer and writer. Some of his projects he wrote, directed and produced have received Official Selections and Audience Awards at festivals including the Los Angeles International Film Festival, Playhouse West Film Festival, and the Rhode Island Film Festival. His feature film scripts have also earned honors in the world’s top competitions including the Academy’s Nicholl Fellowship and the Austin Film Festival.

Costner worked as an executive assistant at Sony Pictures Studios to top-level executives in order to learn the ropes of the studio side of the entertainment business while making independent short films and features. He attended NYFA’s 8-Week Filmmaking program in 2006.
